In principle, a thesis written at a university is public (The Constitution of Finland, §12.2; Publicity Act §1). The publicity of the thesis means that the metadata of the thesis are available and the thesis is accessible either directly or on request. At LUT, theses are published in the LUTPub repository.
If the thesis is not published in LUTPub, it must be submitted to the LUT archive. In addition, the student has to submit the metadata of the thesis in LUTPub where the information of the thesis is publicly available.
