Thesis saving instructions to Theseus

Accessibility of the thesis

Accessibility promotes equality and easy accessibility of digital services despite possible limitations (for example, the limitations of hearing, seeing or reading). Accessibility is required by law, and it applies also to theses. Read more about accessibility in Theseus.

How do you make a file accessible? See, for example, Microsoft Support website (link opens in a new window).

Students are responsible for the accessibility of their thesis. Check your thesis for accessibility! Use the built-in automatic checking function in Word. The Word file must be saved in .docx format.

1. Open the thesis in Word.
2. Open the File tab.
3. Open the Check for Issues -menu.
4. Select Check Accessibility.
5. This opens the Accessibility window on the right side of the Word document. The inspection results show possible errors and warnings.
6. Go through the errors and correct them.
