EBSCOhost Passport is a browser add-on for Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers that facilitates access to articles available through LUT Academic Library EBSCOhost subscriptions. You will know if an article is available when browsing.

Supported browsers

EBSCOhost Passport extension is currently available for Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Support for other common browsers is coming soon.

EBSCOhost Passport browser extension installation

EBSCOhost Passport is currently available on both Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Use the links below to download and install the extension:

During the installation process, when you are asked to identify your library, simply search for LUT (or with full name LUT-yliopisto - LUT University) or LAB (or with full name LAB University of Applied Sciences).

More information about EBSCOhost Passport can be found on EBSCO´s webpage.

How to use EBSCOhost passport

If you use Google or other search engine, you can be directed to publisher's pages for articles, but since you did not go through the library's links for theses services, you haven't been authenticated and you'll be asked to pay to access the article.

With EBSCOhost Passport installed, you will see a popup that will authenticate you to allow access to EBSCO subscriptions. When the full text PDF is available to you, you will see an EBSCOhost Passport icon - blue E - in the right side of your browser (icon shown above).

You can view EBSCO´s privacy policy here.

To notice!

Browser extensions might not show all LUT Academic Library´s subscriptions. To make a good scientific search, please, use your University´s Primo search services, LUT Primo or LAB Primo.
