LUT guide to publishing: Affiliation

Affiliation

Affiliation means the organization information of the author shown in the publication. It tells the institution in which the author conducted the research that they have reported. One person can have several affiliations in one publication. However, the appearance of an organization in the affiliation details does not always mean that the publication is the output of that organization. From the LUT's and author's point of view it is important to mention the organization correctly so that the publications are counted to the right person or organization in the publication reporting and reference databases.

LUT's official name in the affiliation details in publications is mentioned as follows:

In Finnish:

LUT-yliopisto
or
Lappeenrannan‒Lahden teknillinen yliopisto LUT

In English:

LUT University
or
Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT
