VitalSource Bridge e-kirjat

VitalSource Bridge sisältää yksittäin ostettuja e-kirjoja.

Lue Voit lukea kirjoja suoraan selaimesta tai lukuohjelmalla. Osassa kirjoista on yhtäaikaisten käyttäjien määrä rajattu.
Lataa Kirjan lataus edellyttää henkilökohtaisen VitalSource Bridge -tilin luomisen.

Osia voi tulostaa henkilökohtaiseen käyttöön.​ 2 sivua kerrallaan.
Huom!

Sinulla voi olla vain yksi teos kerrallaan lainattuna VitalSource Bridgessä. Muissa teoksissa on "Borrowing limit reached" kunnes palautat lainassasi olleen teoksen.

E-kirjan lukeminen selaimessa

Kirjoihin pääsee vain tekemällä oman tilin ja kirjautumalla sinne (https://bookshelf.vitalsource.com/#/). Saatavilla olevat kirjat löytyvät välilehdeltä Explore. Lainattu kirja löytyy välilehdeltä Library.

VitalSource Bridge on alusta tiettyjen kustantajien tarjoamille sähköisille kurssikirjoille. Kirjojen laina-aika vaihtelee 4 tunnista 1 vuorokauteen.

Lue VitalSource Bridgen e-kirjoja selaimessa näin:

  1. Löydät VitalSource Bridgessä olevat kirjat LUT Primosta.
  2. Valitse haluamasi kirja ja klikkaa Kokotekstin saatavuus -kohdasta kirjan linkkiä. Jos et ole aiemmin jo kirjautunut LUT Primoon, pyydetään sinua kirjautumaan yliopiston Haka-tunnuksilla. Ohjaudut VitalSource Bridgeen.
  3. Sinun ei tarvitse antaa sähköpostiosoitettasi ja luoda tiliä, jotta voit lukea kirjaa selaimessa. Voit ohittaa tämän vaiheen ja klikata "Continue without an Account":

  4. Lue ja hyväksy käyttöehdot (Terms of Use).
  5. Kirja avautuu luettavaksi selaimessa.

E-kirjan lukeminen VitalSource-tilillä

Jos haluat ladata e-kirjan laitteellesi, sinun tulee luoda tili VitalSource Bridge -palveluun ja voit ladata laitteellesi Bookshelf-lukuohjelman.

  1. Löydät VitalSource Bridgessä olevat kirjat LUT Primosta.
  2. Valitse haluamasi kirja ja klikkaa Kokotekstin saatavuus -kohdasta kirjan linkkiä. Jos et ole aiemmin jo kirjautunut LUT Primoon, pyydetään sinua kirjautumaan yliopiston Haka-tunnuksilla. Ohjaudut VitalSource Bridgeen. Klikkaa "Activate" ja seuraavaksi "Launch".
  3. Anna sähköpostiosoite (@lut.fi, @student.lut.fi) ja luo tili palveluun.
  4. Lue ja hyväksy käyttöehdot (Terms of use).
  5. Kirja avautuu luettavaksi selaimessa.
  6.  Voit ladata lukuohjelman "Bookshelf".
  7.  Avaa Bookshelf-ohjelma laitteellasi.
  8.  Huom! Voit ladata vain sen kirjan, jotka olet avannut (Launch) ollessasi kirjautuneena tilillesi selaimessa. Lukuohjelmassa ei voi selata kaikkia kokoelmaan kuuluvia e-kirjoja.
  9.  Lataa kirja laitteesi Bookshelf-lukuohjelmaan.

VitalSource Bridgen e-kirjoihin voi tehdä korostuksia (highlights) ja merkintojä (notes). Video-ohje korotusten ja merkintöjen tekemisestä VitalSource -palvelussa.

VitalSource Bridge e-books

VitalSource Bridge includes e-text books.

Read You can read the e-books online with the reader. Some of the books have limited amount of concurrent users.
Load To download the book you need to create a personal VitalSource Bridge user account.
Print

Printing for personal use. Two pages at the time.
More You can open only one title at the time in VitalSource Bridge. The other titles are labeled with text "Borrowing limit reached" until you return the book you have already on loan.

E-text books in the browser

10.1.20204 The possibility to read books online has been removed for unkonown reason. We are working on it! -> The access to books works only with own account (https://bookshelf.vitalsource.com/#/). Available books are on tab Explore and the book you borrow is on tab Library.

VitalSource Bridge is platform for e-text books by certain publishers. Loan period is from four hours to a day.

To read VitalSource Bridge e-books in the browser:

  1. VitalSource Bridge e-text books are catalogued to LUT Primo.
  2. Choose the title wanted and click Full-text availability linking. If you haven´t logged in to LUT Primo earlier, you are asked to log in with your University´s Haka login. You will be directed to VitalSource Bridge.
  3. You do not need to insert your e-mail address and to create an account if you want to read the book in the browser. You can pass this by clicking "Continue without an Account":

  4. Read and accept the Terms of Use.
  5. The book opens in your browser.

E-text books with VitalSource account

If you want to download the e-book to your device, you must create an account to VitalSource Bridge, and you can download Bookshelf reading app.

  1. VitalSource Bridge e-text books are catalogued to LUT Primo.
  2. Choose the title wanted and click Full-text availability linking. If you haven´t logged in to LUT Primo earlier, you are asked to log in with your University´s Haka login. You will be directed to VitalSource Bridge.
  3. Insert your e-mail address (@lut.fi, @student.lut.fi) and create an account.
  4. Read and accept the Terms of use.
  5. The book opens in your browser.
  6.  You can download the app "Bookshelf".
  7.  Open Bookshelf on your device.
  8. Notice! You can upload only that title which you have already opened (Launch) on your browser. You cannot open the other titles shown in the collection with the app.
  9.  Downlaod the book to Bookshelf app.

You can add highlightings and notes to the book you have downloaded to VitalSource Bridge. Video guide how to do highlightings and notes in VitalSource.
