Overview / Permitted use

Thousands of Harvard Business Review articles can be downloaded, printed and saved for individual use except for 500 articles which the publisher has restricted to “read only” status for academic institutions. These 500 articles cannot be printed, downloaded, or saved.

This license allows institutions to use the Harvard Business Review content found in EBSCOdatabases for corporate learning purposes. EBSCO’s agreement with Harvard Business Publishing, the publisher of Harvard Business Review, states that access to Harvard Business Review in EBSCO databases is for individual research purposes only.

No direct links to articles are allowed, except for individual research purposes.

Prohibited use

Harvard Business Review articles found in EBSCO’s Business Source products are not intended for use in assigned course materials/learning environments.

Use of Harvard Business Review content within EBSCO full-text databases for any purpose other than individual research is prohibited.

This means that learning departments cannot distribute HBR articles, post persistent links to HBR articles, or assign HBR articles from EBSCO databases for learning purposes.

Remote access

Remote access is permitted for Authorized Users via the Subscriber institution's secure network.

Interlibrary loans

Harvard Business Review case studies and List 500 articles may not be requested through Interlibrary loan.
